Weddings
The great thing about a celebrant wedding is there's only one way, and that's your own!
This photo was taken on my wedding day, 25 August 1995. We got married in church and celebrated at our local pub afterwards. The service was lovely, but we didn't get to write our own vows, dedicate personal commitments to each other or customise the ceremony in any way. Back then, the only options available to us were a church wedding or the 'sheep dip' (registry office) and I didn't fancy the sheep dip!
As a professional celebrant, I will spend time getting to know you both and listening to your love story. I'll write a bespoke ceremony with your input to celebrate your special day. It can be traditional if that's what you prefer, or it can include all sorts of fun and romantic rituals, which you might want to research before we meet!
- Handfasting
- Sand ceremony
- Jumping the broom
- Warming the rings
- Tree planting
- Wine ceremony
**Important**
A celebrant wedding ceremony is not legally binding in England and Wales - the legal part of the marriage needs to be done separately, usually beforehand, at a registry office or a venue licenced for civil ceremonies.
